What is a Carny
Carnival workers. Good, hardworking, trustworthy, honest, good-for-nothing, unreliable, foul-smelling vagrants who work at our nation's (USA) carnivals.

Most carnies in the industry may have criminal pasts or other problems, but argued that you could probably say the same about the people working in large stores in the area, or at restaurants and gas stations.

Carnies love to yell at people walking past, making comments like "You need to win that girl a prize," or "That's not the blonde I saw you here with last night," but they need to get people's attention so they will try out the games. Carnies always like to skim off the top from the stands earnings.
